Super Eagles Midfielder Mikel Agu Blast FC Porto Coach – I Won’t Play For Porto Under Him

On loan FC Porto midfielder Mikel Agu has taken a swipe at the coach of FC Porto Sergio Conceicao for making him lose out on the chance to make a good move after promising him a spot in the first team of Porto upon his return from a loan spell with Bursaspor

Agu was mentioned by the coach as one of the players he would like to watch during pre season with the coach suggesting that the Nigerian could be an integral part of his team in their various competitions.

However, few days into the resumption of pre season training, Agu was sent home from the FC Porto preparatory camp with the same coach who spoke highly of him stating that the 25 year old is not in his plans for the season.

Another loan spell, this time around a return to Vitoria Se?tubal where he spent the 2016/12017 season on loan happened but according to Agu, he would have moved elsewhere if not for the delay occasioned by the promise of first team football at Porto made to him by the head coach

” As long as Sergio is coach of Porto, I will not return. He asked me to come back, I went back for pre season and in the middle of it, he told me that I am not in his plans. It wasted my time and denied me the opportunity to make a good transfer at the right time”, Agu said in an interview with the Portuguese press sourced by Owngoalnigeria.com editorial team
