Goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa may now be another injury doubt for the Super Eagles ahead of next month’s World Cup qualifier in Zambia after he was forced out of IfeanyiUbah’s game against Enyimba.

Germany-based defender Leon Balogun is already a major injury concern for Nigeria after he injured his abductors at the weekend.

Hosts IfeanyiUbah won Sunday’s derby 1-0, but it was at the huge cost of losing their top choice goalkeeper Ezenwa.

Ezenwa, who is on the 23-man squad for the World Cup showdown in Zambia on October 9, was unable to shake off an injury during the hard-fought derby and was therefore substituted in the 70th minute by Uche Okafor.

The former Nigeria U20 star underlined his quality during the NPFL All-Stars playing tour of Spain, where second division Cadiz expressed interest to sign him.
