The Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) has communicated to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) the latest venue for Nigeria’s African Cup of Nations Qualifiers game against Libya next month, according to  Owngoalnigeria.com

Libya were yesterday contacted by the NFF to intimate them of the new venue for the game as the Ahmadu Bello Stadium originally billed to host the game failed to meet basic requirements for hosting of the game.

Reports has it that so many facilities in the stadium were in need of repairs and the state of the pitch which was near perfect when coach Gernot Rohr visited last month has deteriorated to a level not fit enough for a game of such magnitude.

Meanwhile, the Nest of Champions Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State will now host the October 12 clash after the successful laying of the pitch which was destroyed during one of the political event of the governor of the state
