Nigeria responded to their home shocking defeat last Thursday to beat CAR 2:0 in Doula, and go top of group C of the FIFA World Cup, Qatar 2022 qualifiers on Sunday.

After the break, the hosts made attacking substitutes trying to get back into the game, but Nigerian defense and goalkeeper Maduka Okoye stood tall to all their attempts.
Nigeria raised their tally to 9 points, five more than Central African Republic and Cape Verde, who faces Liberia (3 points) later on Sunday.
