Sunshine Stars To Unleash Odunlami, Other New Signings On Nasarawa United

Sunshine Stars will unleash their new signings on Nasarawa United in today’s (Sunday) Nigeria Professional Football League match day  23 encounter against Nasarawa United billed for the Akure Sports Complex.

The new players include Kunel Odunlami who is back at the club after a stint with Sudanese club Al Merreikh, Ajibola Otegbeye who is back in the fold after a short spell with Akwa United and Ghanaian forward, Godbless Asamoah, who once played for Rivers United.

The others are West Omodu who last played for Kudahenveiru United in the Maldives, Micheal Egbeta and Gabriel Shola from FC IfeanyiUbah and Tope Akande who joined from Ikorodu United.

The players who were mostly signed during the mid-season transfer window to strengthen the club and boost the fight against relegation are now eligible for selection.

CSN learnt that the League Management Company earlier refused to allow Sunshine Stars register the new players  until they get assurance on  the five months salaries owed their current players.

The Akure Club sit in 19th position in the NPFL table with 25 points from 23 games.
