The former Ghana coach was in charge over the weekend when they were eliminated by Zambian side Power Dynamos through a controversial late penalty.

The Sudanese were eliminated 2-1 on aggregate on Saturday, having won the first leg 1-0 at home two weeks ago.

Al Khartoum president Mamoun Bashir Elnefiedi says they will allow the Ghanaian manager to continue in his post as he has two years to turn around the fortunes of the club.

“The team is now playing good football and it is the wish of the management that this rebuilding project continues like it has started,” Al Khartoum president Mamoun Bashir Elnefiedi said.

Elnefiedi  added that Appiah must not be blamed for the defeat insisting he is confident they coach will qualify the club to Africa next term.
