Stoke City Demand £12.5m for Wantaway Star Player Marko Arnautovic

"?Stoke City are reported to have told Marko Arnautovic that they will not allow him to leave the club this summer unless a club is willing to pay £12.5m.


According to the "?Mirror, the club have inserted a buyout clause in the Austrian's contract which will see them make a massive profit on the £2.6m they paid for him in 2013 from Werder Bremen.


The 27-year-old is said to have turned down an extension to his contract at the club, with his current deal ending at the end of next season. He is believed to be eager to join another Premier League side, whilst has also been linked with a move to French champions PSG.

He said: "I have a contract until 2017 and my brother, who is also my agent, has been in negotiations with Stoke.


"I cannot say if I will stay there or not. First of all I want to play a strong European Championships, stay fit and then we will see where I play next season.


"I cannot rule anything out, but my goal is to stay in England. I feel very comfortable there and I've performed well. There I would be accepted.

"In Germany it was a bit different and I had ups and downs."


Stoke had an impressive campaign, finishing ninth in the Premier League, with a number of standout individual performers including Arnautovic and Xherdan Shaqiri.


The winger is currently at Euro 2016 in France with his national side, and they face Hungary tomorrow. They are in Group F along with Iceland and Portugal.
