Spurs Transfer Target Franco Vazquez Comments on His Future

"?Palermo attacker Franco Vazquez has admitted that he would consider a move to Tottenham Hotspur if the deal on the table suits his current club.

Speaking to Italian radio station Radio Next 97.1 reported by Tuttomercatoweb, Vazquez hinted that he would be willing to leave Palermo provided all aspects of the transfer were suitable for all parties.

He said: "I have not heard anything about my future, but when there will be an agreement between him [Palermo President Maurizio Zamperini] and another club I'll just catch a flight and go to sign.

"The president does the price. If he does not accept it then I will stay at Palermo. I have a contract until 2019, but I don't think that will happen, however."

Vazquez was a target for Spurs on Wednesday according to Sky Sports and Palermo President Zamparini confirmed recently that he has been in contact with Spurs, saying: "I'm in touch with Tottenham and have asked for €25m. So let's see."

@DiMarzio any truth that spurs in for Franco Vazquez?

"?"?The 27-year-old winger scored eight times in Serie A for Palermo last season and provided six assists in 36 appearances.

Vazquez could be an excellent fit for Tottenham, who already boast a number of creative talent like Dele Alli, Erik Lamela and Christian Eriksen.

But if, like Vazquez alluded to in his comments, Spurs are unwilling to part with the €25m requested by Palermo, they have alternative options. Spartak Moscow's Quincy Promes and AZ Alkmaar's Vincent Janssen are reportedly on the radar of Mauricio Pochettino.
