Senegal defender Pape Souare fears a change in the team’s style of play could lead to their early exit from the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Lions of Terranga are drawn in the toughest group at this month’s tournament where they face Ghana, South Africa and Algeria.

Alain Giresse’s side qualified for the finals to be staged by Equatorial Guinea as runner’s up of Group G behind Tunisia.

They are still regarded as one of the top sides on the continent with their impressive array of strikers.

Defender Pape Souare wants the side to stick to its style of play which helped them in the qualifiers when the competition commences this weekend.

We cannot afford to change the way we played during the qualifiers,” he said.

“We have to continue with that for us to get positive results.

“If we try to change things we might be in trouble, like I said we should not worry about the opposition but about ourselves.

“We are here because of the way we played in the qualifiers and we should continue on that path.”
