SK Slavia Prague head coach Jindrich Trpisovsky has provided major update on the current injury status of Nigerian defender Igoh Ogbu who got injured in the club's 2:2 draw with Hradec Kralove, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Igoh Ogbu was forced off at halftime after sustaining an injury during the opening round of the new Chance League season at Eden Arena. Although goals from Tomáš Chorý and Christos Zafeiris initially put Slavia ahead, the visitors managed to level the score just five minutes before full time.
Jindrich while assessing the team's performance in the four goal thriller revealed that the player would undergo scan in order to ascertain his condition as he is hopeful of a positive result.
"The first information is that there is something there, he had a finding on the ultrasound, but we will be smarter on Monday after the MRI."
While no official update has been released regarding the results of Ogbu’s ultrasound scan, the club remains optimistic that the injury is not serious enough to sideline him for an extended period. His condition is being closely monitored as the medical team continues to assess his recovery.
