Shooting Stars secured another home victory as they dispatched Giwa FC 2-1 at Adamasingba Stadium on Sunday courtesy of a goal apiece from Izu Joseeph and super sub Kabir Umar. Shooting defeated MFM FC of Lagos 3-0 at the venue last weekend.

However, Shooting's opponents from Jos were just settling down in the Matchday 5 of Nigeria Professional Football League when Joseph nodded home the opening goal past goalkeeper Olorunleke Ojo from close range.

The early goal, which went in about two minutes into the fairly balanced first half jolted coach Gbenga Ogunbote and his side as they started fighting from then on.

Umar, who came in on the 80th minute as Shooting's last substitute of the match capped off a brilliant individual performance when he volleyed the winner beyond Ojo on 87 minutes.
