“The partnership will see KELME provide custom performance kits for our 2026/27 campaign across the NPFL, CAF Confederation Cup and FA Cup, alongside collaborations in technical development, youth academy growth and international football opportunities.

Continental return
The announcement comes as 3SC prepare for the second leg of their CAF Confederation Cup first preliminary round tie against Tunisian club CS Sfaxien.
Shooting Stars will travel to face CS Sfaxien having secured a 1-0 victory in the first leg at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta on 5 September 2026. Lucky Emmanuel scored the only goal in the 25th minute.
The club returned to CAF inter-club competition in the 2026/27 season after a 27-year absence.
Their qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup was secured by a third-place finish in the 2025/26 NPFL, when they collected 60 points. They finished behind champions Rangers International and runners-up Rivers United.
3SC’s previous appearance in continental competition came in 1999, when they played in the CAF Champions League after winning the Nigerian league title in 1998. They reached the group stage of that tournament.
The club have a strong record in African competition. They became the first Nigerian club to win a CAF trophy when they claimed the now-defunct Cup Winners’ Cup in 1976.
Shooting Stars also won the CAF Cup, another competition which has since been discontinued, in 1992.
They were runners-up in the CAF Champions League in 1984 and 1996, losing to Egyptian club Zamalek in both finals.
