Rumoured Arsenal and Liverpool transfer target Domenico Berardi is allegedly after a new challenge. La Gazzetta dello Sport stated last month that the north Londoners “knocked on the door” of the Serie A side Sassuolo.
And Corriere della Sera reported Liverpool were “fascinated” by the Italy international’s “movements and offensive capacity”. Come transfer deadline day, he stayed put, but it looks as though the 27-year-old’s got an eye on the January market.
Calciomercato claims Domenico wants to leave the club and has let the management know with his price tag has dropped to around €35m (£30m).
The Gunners and the Reds’ Premier League rivals Leicester City have reportedly held discussions with Berardi’s camp over a possible move, and some Italian outfits are apparently also eyeing the player, so Arsenal and Liverpool would need to move quickly.
Domenico is a prolific goal contributor, with a stunning 17 goals and eight assists from 30 Serie A matches last season.
Berardi has 105 goals and 67 assists from 291 outings for the Mapei Stadium outfit across all competitions.
