Asked by L'Interista about rumours having Torino pursue Uruguayan international midfielder Matias Vecino, Torino director of the football area, Davide Vagnati, pointed out: "We are definitely not after Vecino. I'm flat out saying it straight: we are not in talks with Inter over him".

Playing for Neroazzurri since 2017/18, former Fiorentina pitcher, still on a deal with Serie A defending champions until June 2022, might end up staying put, since his new boss, Simone Inzaghi, had already wanted him in, back when he was training Lazio.

Besides, his current 2.5 million euros annual salary it's hardly an easy one to be taken over undisputedly, since he doesn't reflect at all his overall performing from latest seasons. Meanwhile, Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti, training him from 2017 to 2019, got interested in the opportunity to sign Vecino.
