Tammy Abraham is nearing his transfer to Roma after the Giallorossi sporting director Tiago Pinto concluded talks with the player himself after flying to London. However, the player’s verdict is yet to be heard. And in the midst of this waiting, Roma have reportedly identified the Chelsea striker’s back-up in case a move does not materialize.
According to Sky Sports, Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho, who won the club their only second Community Shield, has been identified as Abraham’s alternative. He will however come at a higher fee, due to his recent three-year contract renewal with the Foxes.
