The negotiations for Genoa's sale continue.

According to Il Sole 24 Ore, Enrico Preziosi, current shareholder and president of the club, intends to sell by mid-September, the required amount would be €150m, an evaluation resulting from a comparison with other past transactions, including that of Fiorentina to Commisso, which also includes the club's debts. Preziosi would aim to keep a stake and stay for three years, as well as representing the club in the League. It remains to be seen how the negotiations on evaluation and governance will evolve.

The US financial group 777 Partners took the field three months ago, after many discussions with other groups to sell the club, all proved to be inconsistent. Genoa would become the second football club after Sevilla in which 777 Partners will be present. However, he would be the first in which he would become the majority shareholder, since he only holds 6% of the Andalusian club, even if the intention of the fund is to have full control.

If all goes according to plan, Genoa and Sevilla could have the same ownership, with the Rossoblu they would consolidate the American presence in Italian football.
