Another action-packed round of Serie A action has come and gone and, naturally, some players stood above the rest with their performances.

Luis Muriel and Fabio Quagliarella both shone in Florence where Fiorentina and Sampdoria played out a thrilling 3-3 draw, while Stefano Sorrentino was impressive in Turin despite conceding three at Juventus.

Duvan Zapata, though, was on another level to anyone else as he bagged four goals away to Frosinone to help Atalanta to a 5-0 win.

The Bergamaschi has scored more than anyone else in Serie A this season (44) and the Colombian has been enjoying an incredible recent run, netting 13 goals in his last seven appearances, or 14 in eight including the Coppa Italia.

If Zapata can continue his purple patch then Gian Piero Gasperini’s side will be hopeful of continuing their pursuit of European football until the very end of the season, with them currently harbouring hopes of even reaching the Champions League.
