Sepp Blatter has confirmed his entry in the FIFA presidential contest for his fifth spell, without revealing which five national federations have nominated him.

78-year-old Blatter posted a message on his Twitter account to say ''I've made my submission.''

Thursday is the deadline for entries. Voting by FIFA's 209 federations is May 29.

The only contender to identify the five FIFA members nominating him is Dutch federation president Michael van Praag: He cited Belgium, Faeroe Islands, Romania, Scotland and Sweden.

Portugal great Luis Figo and FIFA Vice President Prince Ali bin al-Hussein of Jordan also claim to have nominations.

Two possible candidates from France, longtime Blatter ally Jerome Champagne and former player David Ginola, seek to join the race.

FIFA's election oversight panel will vet the contenders and announce official candidates next month.
