Turning 47 on August 1st, Portuguese trainer Leonardo Jardim has just been named new Al-Hilal first-team manager.
Ahead of his first experience in Saudi football, Jardim, training since 1996, used to work for AS Monaco, on two different spells, from 2014 to 2020. Beforehand, he coached such clubs as Sporting Lisbon, Olympiakos, and SC Braga.
Throghout his career as a gaffer, Jardim won two national titles: the Greek one, as Olympiakos boss, in 2012/13, and the French one, for AS Monaco, 2016/17, interrupting Paris Saint-Germain dominion by it.
