The South Africa-based continental broadcaster brought in the barber to carry out the demolition exercise on Kuffuor and to humiliate him by using a Nigerian to undertake the hair clearing exercise on the Ghanaian panelist on SuperSport's coverage of the tournament.

With Bafana Bafana leading the Black Stars 1-0 by the 73rd minute, hopes were high among South Africans working at SuperSport that Kuffuor will suffer the humiliation which gave the Nigerian barber hope that he will carry out the shaving.

However, two goals in 10 minutes by John Boye and Andre Ayew turned matter round and saved Kuffuor from the humiliation of being shaved live on television across Africa.

In response to the winner by Andre Ayew, Kuffuor lifted his chair and chased the Nigerian barber who run for his life creating more humour in the SuperSport studio in Johannesburg while the defeated South Africans looked on following this disappointment in defeat.

Kuffuor had vowed to shave off his hair live on TV should South Africa beat Ghana in their Group C decider at the 2015 AFCON.

The former Bayern Munich defender Samuel Osei Kuffuor said if South Africa manage to beat the Black Stars, he would wholly do the unthinkable.
