Rivers United's title pursuit faced a setback after drawing with Bendel Insurance at home on Thursday, according to Nigeriasoccernet.com.

The Pride of Rivers had to come back twice to play a 2-2 draw against the Benin Arsenals at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium.

The visitors were already in front of the 6th minute courtesy of Meyiwa Oritseweyinmi's strike.

Ubong Friday restored parity for the hosts ten minutes before halftime with an absolute screamer from 25 yards out as the half ended 1-1.

Uche Collins fired Bendel Insurance back in front 5 minutes into the second half before Handsome Surveyor struck to level for Rivers in the 52nd minute.

The result shows Rivers United in third place after 21 matches, while Bendel Insurance is in 17th place after 20 matches.
