Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions, Remo Stars, have strongly denied media reports claiming that their head coach, Daniel Ogunmodede, has resigned from his position.

Earlier in the week, speculation circulated suggesting that Ogunmodede, who also serves as an assistant coach with the Super Eagles, had stepped down from his role with the Sky Blue Stars. However, the club, through an official statement released on its social media platforms on Wednesday afternoon, dismissed the reports as false, baseless, and misleading.

“Coach Daniel Ogunmodede remains fully committed to his role and continues to lead the team’s preparations for upcoming NPFL fixtures,” the statement read.

Remo Stars also called on their fans and stakeholders to disregard the false rumours and maintain their support for the club as they look to build on their strong start to the new NPFL season.

The clarification puts to rest any uncertainty surrounding Ogunmodede’s position, reaffirming his continued leadership as the Sky Blue Stars pursue their title defense campaign.
