Relegation Bound: David Okereke, Cyriel Dessers, Chidera Ejuke teams go down

A day to forget it was for some Nigerian football players as they saw saw their teams relegated in the Serie A and German Bundesliga on Saturday, reports.

In the Italian Serie A, Super Eagles duo of David Okereke and Cyriel Dessers and US Cremonese were sent packing from the top division after their embarrassing] defeat against Bologna.

Arnautovic opened score before Ferguson doubled in the 27th minute as Posch's header gave Bologna a comfortable 3 goal lead before the half.

Orsolini made it four in the 65th minute, but he became the villain as Bologna were reduced to ten following a second yellow card for the goal scorer.

However, Nicola dashed all thought of a comeback for Cremonese with Bologna's fifth in the 81st minute.

Though Ciofani pulled one back in the 91st minute but it was too late to for it to have any effect on the game.

Meanwhile, Okereke and Dessers' compatriot, Chidera Ejuke and his club Hertha Berlin were relegated to the German Bundesliga 2 following their draw against Bochum today.

Lucas Tousart had put Berlin ahead in the 63rd minute after a barren first half and were heading to claim all three points before Schlotterbeck broke the hearts of the home fans with a 90+4 minute equaliser.

Ejuke is on loan from CSKA Moscow and yet to see what next the midfielder will take.

Okereke, Dessers and Ejuke join Paul Onuachu and Joe Aribo who got relegated with Southampton in the English Premier League.
