Rangers have signed defender Joe Worrall from Nottingham Forest on a season-long loan.

The 21-year-old has made more than 50 appearances for Championship Forest, having previously been loaned to Dagenham and Redbridge.

He has also been capped by England's under-21 side.

Steven Gerrard's Rangers face Celtic in Sunday's Premiership contest after reaching the Europa League group stages by overcoming Ufa on Thursday.

Despite have both Alfredo Morelos and Jon Flanagan sent off, the Ibrox side secured a 1-1 draw in Russia to complete a 2-1 aggregate win.

And Rangers will discover their group-stage opponents later on Friday.
