Rangers International get the better of Gombe United

Rangers International proved too much to handle for Gombe United in their Nigeria Premier Football League match day 18 match played on Saturday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Flying Antelopes eased passed the Savannah Scorpions 4-1 to keep alive the hope of a top finish at the end of the season.

Wasiu Alalade drew the first blood for Gombe United on 19 minutes before Godwin Obaje drew the home team level 2 minutes later.

Obaje put the hosts in front for the first time in the contest 6 minutes to the end of the first half from the spot as the first 45 minutes ended 2-1 in favour of Rangers International.

In the second half, Chidiebere Nwobodo increased the lead in the 63rd minute for the Enugu State side to dictate the game.

And by the 85th minute, the hosts had scored another to make it 4-1. This time, courtesy of Kenechukwu Agu, putting the game beyond Gombe United.
