Nigeria league leaders Enugu Rangers hope to bounce back from a shock 3-1 loss at Rivers United with a big win at home against perennial rivals Shooting Stars on Sunday.
Despite the reverse in Port Harcourt at the weekend, Rangers are top of the table on 27 points from 14 matches, three points ahead of closest rivals Kano Pillars.
?Rangers skipper Okey Odita said Sunday night’s game at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu is a must-win one as they hope to maintain a 100% win record at home.
“We are quite optimistic of? winning the match and I am therefore assuring the fans of total victory,” the former Enyimba and Kwara United defender told AfricanFootball.com
“We hope to win all our home games, pick more points on the road.
“We want to win both the league and Federation Cup this year so as to end the many long years without a major trophy.”
?Former Shooting Stars striker Bobby Clement was even more emphatic Rangers will beat Shooting Stars 3-0 on Sunday.
“We are the better side and I see us beating them 3-0. We fear no foe, either at home or away,” he boasted.
