Getafe’s Chrisantus Uche has slammed the model of operation of La Liga referees having seen some unjust calls made in recent games, revealing his frustration in a latest interview with ESPN Africa which has since gone viral, Nigeriasoccernet.com gathered.

Speaking to ESPN Africa, Uche slammed La Liga referees over a supposed “lack of action” during matches.

“In just 2-3 games I saw how bad they are. Players can hit you and the ref will just ask you to get up, without taking any action against them. It’s frustrating because they don’t do anything. It’s so painful, and I feel like I don’t have any power.”

The Nigeria international isn't the first player to call out La Liga referees, Real Madrid's Vinicius Jr has been in constant spotlight over his fight against racism and referees assessment of games where he feels that he has been unjustly dealt with.

It remains unknown what fate awaits Uche after this interview from the league body as well as from the club after recently participating in Getafe's loss to Barcelona.
