Pumas close to signing their first two players for next season

According to a new report by Mexican outlet Record, Pumas UNAM are close to signing a pair of new faces for the club. Brazilian midfielder Higor Meritao and forward Rogerio de Oliveira are reportedly in Mexico City to complete their transfers to Pumas. Both players join from Brazilian club Ferroviaria, and are undergoing a medical examination before officially signing their new contracts.

Pumas would also be hard at work to bring Argentinian winger Johnathan Benitez to Mexico City, who currently plays at Chilean club Palestino.

We'll see how these two new players fit into Pumas' scheme, for a side that is looking to bolster their chances of making the playoffs after missing out in the Clausura.
