The English side sought to strengthen their midfield by signing the Super Falcons playmaker, but PSG is adamant that the 24-year-old will remain part of their project.

According to Le Parisien journalist Benjamin Suarez, Chelsea will not pursue further attempts as the English transfer window closes on Tuesday.

Echegini, who joined PSG from Juventus in June 2024, has quickly become a key figure in the French side’s setup, with her contract running until the summer of 2027. The former Arsenal star was also instrumental for Nigeria, scoring the winning goal in the 3–2 final of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations against hosts Morocco.

PSG’s decision underscores their intent to retain top talent and maintain squad stability as they pursue domestic and European honours, with Echegini expected to play a central role in the club’s ambitions over the coming seasons.
