Virgil van Dijk appeared to suffer a dislocated finger while representing the Netherlands yesterday evening. The Liverpool defender was away on international duty for the first time since his long-term injury, having played no part in Euro 2020 due to being sidelined.

Van Dijk made his return in a 2022 World Cup qualifier versus Norway, but seemingly had to have his finger pushed back into place on the side of the pitch after a suspected dislocation.

The incident occurred at the start of the second-half, but the 30-year-old decided to continue playing and featured for the full 90 minutes as Louis van Gaal's side earned a 1-1 draw.

And the Liverpool star had no problems with his other hand after the match - when he was interrupted by a fan wanting a picture during his post-game media duties, and gave him a gentle push to remove him from the camera shot.
