Although this summer’s transfer window has only just closed, Spurs are continuing to work in the background on new targets, as the squad’s rebuild carries on taking shape.

Managing director of football Fabio Paratici has been a busy figure at Spurs this summer, recruiting five players, while seeing a number of players leave the club on permanent or loan deals.

An area of concern for Spurs was midfield and they somewhat addressed that through the signing of Pape Matar Sarr from Metz. However, the 18-year-old was sent straight back to the Ligue 1 side for the remainder of the season to continue his development.

According to football london, Spurs have looked at Franck Kessie from Milan over a possible free transfer next summer.

Spurs could enter talks with the Ivorian as early as January, where they are allowed to negotiate a pre-contract, but only if Milan do not offer him a new deal.
