Sadio Mane, a Liverpool midfielder, has set some lofty goals for this season, according to Metro. He hopes to use his goals to help Liverpool bounce back from a dismal season in which they finished third and failed to win any trophies.
Liverpool had an uncharacteristically bad season. The team was plagued by injuries throughout the season, and a string of defeats in the new year put them in danger of losing out on the Champions League. While the majority of the players played admirably, Sadio Mane in particular fell short of expectations.
‘I want to score goals, and set up teammates, even to score 30 goals. I was so disappointed with last season, and passionately so, as I thought I could have done more. Whereas I might have been scoring between 18 and 22 goals a season, then on that occasion it was no longer the case so, of course, I was going to be disappointed.’
