Cristiano Ronaldo re-joined Manchester United on Monday in a sensational transfer from Juventus and has teamed up with his Portugal teammates ahead of next month's matches.

Ronaldo, 36, can equal former Iran striker Ali Daei's 109 international goals with a goal against the Republic of Ireland on Wednesday and Azerbaijan a week later on Tuesday, both ahead of this weekend's friendly with Qatar.

United confirmed on Friday that they had reached an agreement with Juventus to sign the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.

"We'll do everything we can to help him break the record," Goncalo Guedes, a midfielder for Portugal, told reporters on Monday.
