The commencement of the Ghanaian top flight has been delayed for over three months due to a court case against the Ghana FA.

The competition is however set to start on January 18 following a successful congress of the GFA earlier in the week.

While many clubs have complained of the late start of the Ghana Premier League due to their inconsistent pre-season activities, the Phobian boss says his team will benefit most.

“We see the delay in the start of the league as a blessing in disguise,” he told MTNFootball.com.

“It has helped us prepare our team very well for the league.

“The league is also starting on my birthday so we feel we are in for special things in the coming season.”
