Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar is waiting for a move to Arsenal, The Sun reported.
The 23-year-old is eager to test himself in the Premier League, and the Gunners could reignite their interest in him if they fail to finalise a deal for Leicester City's James Maddison. Now, according to the Mirror, because the club were so interested in Aouar then, the player’s agents are said to be surprised that the Gunners have opted to go in a different direction with their pursuit of Maddison.
Aouar has also been linked with Juventus recently, but still has two years left to run on his contract at Lyon.
