Aston Villa are reportedly considering £15m move for Liverpool midfield star Curtis Jones in the next transfer window. Jones has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign for the Merseyside Reds last season, playing 34 games across all competitions including 24 in the Premier League.
However, the 20-year-old has been left out of the Merseyside Reds three outings so far this campaign, with Harvey Elliott being preferred by Jurgen Klopp following his return from a loan spell at Blackburn Rovers.
The Merseyside Reds have been rumoured with a number of midfielders this summer following the departure of Georginio Wijnaldum on a free transfer, however, the Daily Mail claims that Aston Villa will look to tempt them into selling one of their current options.
Dean Smith’s team are reportedly hopeful that Jones’s lack of football in the opening weeks of the season will cause him to consider his future at Anfield.
