Everton manager Rafael Bentez has announced that forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be out of action for the next several weeks due to injury.
The 24-year-old is out of the starting lineup for Monday's match against Burnley, and the Spaniard has disclosed that he has been dealing with a variety of problems.
Benitez, speaking before the game, said:
“He has broken his toe.
“He was training with problems and playing with pain.
“He had an injury the other day to his quadriceps and we have to wait two-to-three weeks, maybe more.”
Calvert-Lewin has three goals in his first three league games this season.
Calvert-goal-scoring Lewin's prowess earned him a call-up to the senior England squad in 2020. He has subsequently made 11 appearances for the Three Lions, scoring four goals, and was a member of the Euro 2020 team.
