Leaving Werder Bremen after four seasons in, out of German club having got relegated, 29-year old Czech international goalkeeper Jiri Pavlenka has been picked by Burnley as a fit replacement for Nick Pope, who's most likely leaving to join a bigger act.

Still on a deal with Werder until June 2022, Pavlenka is roughly worth 5 million euros, and according to Sport Bild, has already been approached by Clarets through an opening bid, indeed.

Throughout his Werder Bremen tenure, former Slavia Prague and Banik Ostrava goalie capped 155 times overall. Besides, he capped 14 times, from 2016 on, for Czech senior national team.
