From Liga Financial, Brighton & Hove Albion are reportedly hoping to strike a £20m deal for Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah before the end of the summer transfer window.
The England Under-21s skipper has only been used as a bit-part player during Mikel Arteta’s period at the Emirates Stadium and now has less than one year left to run on his contract.
With an extension looking increasingly unlikely, Nketiah is being tipped to seek pastures new in the current transfer window, and the likes of Leeds United and West Ham United have been credited with an interest in recent months.
Now, The Sun reports that Brighton head-coach Graham Potter has identified the 22-year-old forward as the ideal acquisition for his attacker line, and they are willing to fork out £20m to complete a deal.
The report claims that new Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira is also keen to bring Nketiah to the club, however, the Eagles may be priced out of a move for the England Under-21s’ record goalscorer.
