Target man Patrick Agyemang is attracting interest as Portsmouth – Burton Albion's weekend opponents – seek to move the striker on.

The 34-year-old is out of favour at Fratton Park and has been made available for transfer by boss Andy Awford.

Earlier this month his loan spell was not extended at Dagenham & Redbridge and he returned to Fratton Park following four appearances.

That was a frustrating outcome for the Blues, who are desperate to find a taker for the forward as they seek to further reduce their squad number.

But there have been tentative enquiries from several clubs over Agyemang's availability.

The developments arrive at a time when Awford had voiced his concern over a lack of interest in his out-of-favour players.

With the former QPR player out of contract this summer, a switch would suit all parties.

Now the Blues are hopeful of a successful outcome as Awford continues to revamp a squad which at one stage numbered 32.

Despite his return from his Daggers loan last week, Agyemang was not included in Pompey's match-day 18 for the defeat at Newport County.
