Pinnick officially hands over to Gusau

Former Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president, Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick has formally handed to his successor, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau as new NFF president.

Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau and his board can now officially kick start the process to making better football in Nigeria and preside over the affairs of the NFF for the next four years.

 

Gusau emerged winner of the presidential election at the September 30 Elective General Assembly held in Benin City after beating former international Idah Peterside.

 

In a ceremony, the FIFA Council Member and Member of the CAF Executive Committee, Pinnick pledged to support the new board as he sees the administration doing better than his.

 

Amaju Pinnick: “As a FIFA Council Member, I am technically in charge of 22 countries including Nigeria. I will always do my best to protect and project the interests of Nigeria at all times. I see the new administration surpassing whatever we achieved”

The former NFF supremo went ahead to apologise to all he may have offended during his time as NFF head and asked for support for the new administration.

 

"I ask for the forgiveness of all those that I might have offended one way or the other, and I crave your support for the new team." He said.

 

The new NFF boss and his team visited the Nigeria Sport Minister and it is expected that a progressive cause will be charted for the growth of football in the country going forward.
