Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Vitor Pereira has praised Nigerian forward Tolu Arokodare for his impressive performance in the club's Carabao Cup victory over Everton, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Arokodare opened his Wolves goal account, scoring the second goal in the 2-0 win at Molineux.
Marshall Munetsi had given Wolves the lead in the first half, before Arokodare replaced Strand Larsen in the 68th minute.
Three minutes from time, Arokodare doubled the lead, slotting home a pass from Joao Gomes after being slipped through on goal.
Pereira believes Arokodare's goal will boost the forward's confidence, highlighting his growing impact on the team.
“Tolu has settled in really well since arriving and tonight’s goal will five him confidence,”Pereira told the club’s official website.
“It’s always good for a striker to get off the mark early.”
The win marks a positive result for Wolves in the Carabao Cup, and Pereira's comments suggest Arokodare could play a key role in the team's progress.
