Over 70-year-old Hearts coach Herbert Addo insists he won’t resign from his post at the struggling club
Veteran coach Herbert Addo insists he won’t resign from his post at Hearts despite their club’s precarious situation in the Ghana Premier League standings.
The experienced trainer, who is over 70-years, has come under mounting pressure to quit following the side’s unflattering campaign.
Hearts have dropped to a sensational 12th position on the league standings after their 2-1 defeat at home to Hasaacas last Sunday to heap pressure on the embattled trainer.
Critics have asked him to step down due to his age but he insists he won’t buckle under pressure.
“I have no intentions of retiring now. Everyone has a target in life and I have not achieved all that I have set for myself. I will retire after achieving all the targets I set for myself as a coach,” he said
“I believe that if Jose Peckerman was to be in Ghana, most people will say he is old and must retire but I started the job with him and he is one of the oldest coaches in the world. It is not about how old I am but about how much I have achieved.”
