Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has found new suitors in La Liga after report from Spain revealed the interest of Atletico Madrid in signing him, Nigeriasiccernet.com reports.
Osimhen before now have been linked to European top sides like Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and recently Real Madrid.
Atletico will be the second Spanish side who could be making enquiry about the Serie A goal machine.
Osimhen last weekend scored against Sassuolo, breaking all kinds of records two of which include reaching 100 Club-record goals before Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in his early career and the first Napoli player to score in seven consecutive league games.
According to IL Matino, the Spanish club, Atletico Madrid are in the mix to capture the Super Eagles’ talisman after their scouts were spotted keeping an eye on him during Napoli’s match against Sassuolo.
Although Napoli President Aurelio de Laurentiis has made it clear the striker is not for sale but It would be difficult to retain the Super Eagles player in Naples for an extended period, given the offers that are now on the table and the height of Osimhen’s career.
