Orban and Boniface go head-to-head for Belgian Pro Award

Gent striker, Gift Orban and his compatriot Victor Boniface of Union Saint Gilloise have been nominated for  the Ebony Shoe Award in the Belgian Pro League award, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The award is for the Best Player of African Origin and the Nigerian alongside three other players have been considered for the award.

Orban who joined Gent from the Norwegian second-division club, Staebek in January has to to his boot 11 goals and two assists in 12 outings for the Buffalos.

Boniface on the other hand has  scored eight goals and provided seven assists in 33 league appearances this season.

The two players will battle three KRC Genk players, Joseph Paintsil of Ghana, Mike Tresor of Belgium and Bilal El Khannouss of Morocco for the award.
