Defender Pape Ndiaye Souaré hopes Senegal will be ready to challenge for the crown ahead of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
The 24-year-old, who plays for French side Lille, is confident the Terranga Lions will be ready to do battle in Equatorial Guinea.
Senegal posted a narrow 1-0 win over Gabon in friendly over the weekend and will take on Guinea in a similar exercise on Tuesday.
He hopes a second successive victory will skyrocket their confidence level ahead of the tournament.
“We hope to win to stor more confidence in the team,” he said
“The most important thing remains the AFCON and we hope to be ready before the start of the competition, thanks to the friendly matches that we play.
“We must continue to work hard. We are satisfied with the result in our game against Gabon.
“We must try to win again against Guinea to store more confidence before the beginning of the tournament.”
