Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong has departed for Atlanta, USA, to join up with members of Nigeria U-23s who are preparing for the football event of the Rio Olympic Games.

Troost-Ekong, who plays for Gent in the Belgian league, was included in coach Samson Siasia’s 18-man squad for the games.
He confirmed it on his official twitter handle on Sunday.
“On my way to Atlanta ready to join the Olympic team,” he wrote.

It was also reported that Super Eagles skipper, Mikel Obi, will depart Chelsea pre-season camp on Sunday to be with the U-23 Eagles.
