The Nigeria Senior Women National team lost 1-0 to the Samba Ladies at the Matmut Atlantique Stadium, Bordeaux in France.

After a pulsating start which saw the Nigeria Women show guts in their display and great defending through goalkepper Chiamaka Nnadozie, the South American giants broke the deadlock.

Gabi Nunes after 37 minute of action struck a right footed shot that caught Nnadozie napping courtesy of a Martha's pass.
