Nigerian prodigy, Oladapo Afolayan was on target at the weekend in the Bundesliga clash for FC St. Pauli as they stunned Kevin Akpoguma's TSG Hoffenheim to secure all maximum points, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Eric Smith threaded a pass to Jackson Irvine, who expertly dribbled past two Hoffenheim defenders on the right wing. Irvine then squared the ball for Oladapo Afolayan, who fired a first-time shot into the near corner to give St. Pauli the lead.

It means that FC St. Pauli secured their second Bundesliga win of the season with a solid defensive performance and clinical finishing with the Nigerian star playing a starring role in the victory.

Oladapo Afolayan opened the scoring in the first half, giving St. Pauli a well-deserved lead. Substitute Andreas Albers sealed the deal late in stoppage time, securing a 2-0 victory over Hoffenheim.

After the game, Oladapo stated; "We wanted to go out and put in a good performance today – and it was a good team performance. We knew how important the game was. I hope I can keep scoring and we can keep winning."
