Ola Aina came off the bench for FC Torino in the 3-2 Europa League play-off first leg defeat to Wolves on Thursday night.

Aina was introduced in the 71st minute with the Il Toro trailing 2-1, and a minute later were down by two.

The Nigeria international was the best performer off the bench on both sides, per whoscored.com with a 6.4 ratings

Reacting to the home defeat and the team’s chances in England for the reverse fixture, Manager Walter Mazzarri insists, “I still believe it. We must believe it.”

“We have made mistakes that we usually don’t make, and we paid them at a high price,” Mazzarri told the club’s website.

“When we took the field, perhaps because of the importance of the stakes, we started off slow and were not very fluent in the maneuvers.

“Having said that, we did more than 60% of ball possession, having also a clear territorial supremacy, but football, as I often say, is not only made of these factors, and they have shown it, they are a technically strong team, but also very physically in defense; not least, the strongest sides in the Premier league struggled against them last term.
